Shattering Angel

It came upon wings of gold,
with the gentleness of a dove,
softer than time is old,
bareing only warmth and love.

Slowly into my life,
breathing life into stone,
taking away all strife,
all feelings of being alone.

The sky broke in two,
and a single drop fell,
the angel that I barely knew,
left me in eternal hell.

Ice fell in spikes and sheets,
melting with a passion as it splattered,
the angel accomplished many things,
the largest leaving my heart shattered.
